The biggest tournament in Bodog history!
The inaugural Bodog Poker Open was a week of high-stakes and huge cash prizes.
On March 9th,
"phatcat" was crowned the first ever Bodog Poker Champion! As winner of the Bodog Poker Open Main Event he took home $76,280 and will also receive an engraved Omega Speed Master Pro watch worth $4,400!

Event #1 Results
Last night was Event # 1 of the Bodog Poker Open - the $250+ $20 No Limit Hold'em Event. It attracted 377 players, generating a prize pool of $104,250, including $10,000 added.
The final 3 included 3 Bodog stars - rusostreet, Evelyn Ng and Josh Arieh. When play got down to heads up between Evelyn and rusostreet, it was quickly over when both players hit top pair on a board of Ac 4c 10c, and rusostreet's Ah-8c held up over Evelyn's As-3c.

Last Night, Bodog Poker hosted the Bodog Poker Open Event #2 (6-handed) - No Limit Hold'em - $300 + $25 buy-in. The top 27 finishers out of 249 players, earned their share of the $84,700 prize pool, which includes the $10,000 added by Bodog. The winner, 3pounder, walked away with $23,292.50 in cash and a seat in the Bodog Poker Main Event to be held on Sunday, March 9th at 4 PM ET. The Main Event will be No Limit Hold'em, have a buy-in of $470 + $30 and Bodog will be adding $25,000 to the prize pool.

On Thursday, March 6th, Bodog Poker hosted yet another great Bodog Poker Open Event. This time, it was the BPO Event #4 - Pot Limit Hold'em - $200 + $15 buy-in. The top 18 finishers earned their share of the
$47,000 prize pool. With a field of 185 players, this tournament offered the best value you could find online because once again, Bodog added $10,000 to sweeten up the pot. The eventual winner walked away with $14,100.00 in cash and a seat in the Bodog Poker Main Event to be held on Sunday, March 9th at 4 PM ET. The Main Event will be No Limit Hold'em, have a buy-in of $470 + $30 and Bodog will be adding $25,000 to the prize pool.
The final table had many familiar names and most notable,
"alcarmo" who made his second BPO Final Table in as many nights. However, when heads-up play began between

On Friday, March 7th, Bodog Poker hosted yet another great Bodog Poker Open Event. This time, it was the BPO Event #5 - Fixed Limit Hold'em - $150 + $10 buy-in. The top 18 finishers earned their share of the $36,100 prize pool. With a field of 174 players, this tournament offered great value for our players because once again, Bodog added $10,000 to the prize pool. The eventual winner walked away with $10,830.00 in cash and a seat in the Bodog Poker Main Event to be held on Sunday, March 9th at 4 PM ET. The Main Event will be No Limit Hold'em, have a buy-in of $470 + $30 and Bodog will be adding $25,000 to the prize pool. Bodog will crown their first champion with an engraved Omega Speed Master watch, valued at $4,400.

When it came down to heads-up play though, it was "bigcatfish" and "HB_HITMAN" that were left standing. After a fierce battle, "bigcatfish" came out on top to win the $10,830.00 in cash prize for first along with his seat in tomorrow's Main Event.

On Sunday, March 9th, Bodog Poker hosted their biggest Poker tournament ever - the Bodog Poker Open Main Event. The BPO Event #6 - No Limit Hold'em - $470 + $30 buy-in capped off the inaugural Bodog Poker Open. The top 54 finishers earned their share of the
$305,120 prize pool. With a field of 596 players, this tournament offered great value for our players because Bodog added $25,000 to the prize pool. The eventual winner walked away with $76,280 in cash and has been crowned as their first Bodog Poker Champion. In addition to the cash, our Champion will also receive an engraved Omega Speed Master watch (valued at $4,400) to commemorate his big win.
The final table had many recognizable names. However, when it came down to heads-up play, it was
"phatcat" and
"_TheFinisher_" that were left standing. After a long battle that lasted half an hour and nearly 70 hands,
"phatcat" came out on top to win the $76,280. On the last hand,
_TheFinisher_ pushed all his chips in on a flop of 4s-10s-Jd while he was holding Js-Qh for top pair.
"Phatcat" called instantly as he was holding Ac-As and the turn and river were of no help for
"_TheFinisher_".
